The healthcare sector has been facing immense pressure since COVID-19 was first reported. Healthcare workers have been on the frontlines of the pandemic and are working around the clock to take care of patients while putting themselves and their families at great risk every day.
Here at Triton Benefits & HR Solutions, we are extremely grateful for the healthcare workers and first responders who have been tirelessly working around the clock to fight this virus. In appreciation of their commitment and dedication, we decided to donate meals to emergency room workers and nurses at Lankenau Medical Center.
But we didn’t want to donate the usual pizza or sandwiches; we wanted to do something different. Based in Philadelphia near Triton’s office, ArdmoreQ BBQ was the perfect fit and it was right down the street from Lankenau Medical Center.
We reached out to celebrity chef, Brian Duffy at ArdmoreQ BBQ to see if he would be willing to partner with us on this. Duffy was up for the task, as he has previously donated meals to many hospitals within the Philadelphia community.
Consistent with Duffy’s menu, the meals consisted of pulled chicken sandwiches and salad. They were a welcome change and well received by Lankenau Medical Center’s staff.
Steve Rosenthal, president and CEO of Triton Benefits & HR Solutions states “While the pandemic seems to be flattening, our team will continue to support those in need and donate meals or any other resources to bolster the community”.
